IMPORTANT : American citizens intending to study in France have to apply for a visa before leaving the United States, only if the duration of their studies in France exceeds 90 days. The visa issued will depend on the duration of the studies in France.

You have to apply with the French Consulate in Houston, only if you study or reside in one of the following states : Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. To know where to apply, click here.

IT IS MANDATORY TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON LINE TO GET A VISA. NO APPOINTMENT WILL BE GIVEN BY PHONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

ALL STUDENTS, WHATEVER THE DURATION OF THEIR STAY, SHOULD TAKE AN APPOINTMENT ON THE SHORT STAY VISA SCHEDULE.

Personal appearance is required.

BE AWARE THAT THE PROCESSING TIME MAY BE OF TWO WEEKS.

Please bring the original of each document along with the required number of photocopies, arranged in stacks with the application form on top.
