NOTE : American citizen holding a diplomatic, official or service passport traveling to France on official business have to apply for a visa before leaving the United States.

Individuals have to apply with the following requirements, if they intend to travel to France with :

 Diplomatic, Official or service passport ;
 Laissez-passer issued by the United Nations organizations.

REQUIREMENTS :

 Passport valid for a period of three months beyond the applicant’s last day of stay in the Schengen states. Please make sure your passport has a double blank page to affix the visa +ONE COPY of the main pages.

 1 short stay application forms completely and legibly filled out. Please print in black. Indicate also your phone numbers and e-mail.

 1 recent passport size photograph. DO NOT GLUE to the form.

 An official letter ("note verbale") from your embassy, or from the Department of state (for American officials) or from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund… . This letter must specify your name, your position, the number and nature of your passport, the dates of travel, and the reasons of the trip.
