According to regulation passed by the Council of European Union in 2003 (2003/454/CE), the payment of visa fees has been totally modified :

The applicants are charged for the visa process : the fees have to be paid in advance, on the day of the appointment. In case of a visa refusal, absolutely no refund will be granted.

The visa is free of charge for :

• assistants working at a French high school,

• the spouse of a French or European Union citizen,

• children under 6 years of age for short stay visas.

Payment (US dollars only) is made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) cash or money-order only. Personal checks or American Express are not accepted. Please bring the exact change.
